Understand the Unlocking Power of Mindset Coaching.
Have you ever noticed how the things you spend the most time around tend to become a core part of who you are, whether they're positive or negative influences? This attachment stems from the comfort and safety that familiarity provides, making it easier to return to the same patterns, even when they might not serve you well. Change, on the other hand, often feels daunting—especially when it involves breaking free from these established patterns. The unfamiliar is naturally uncomfortable, and even when change is intentional, it can challenge us in unexpected ways. Here’s what I know about the world of sport: adaptability and resilience are key, and so learning to navigate these shifts is essential. I want to explore the different ways that having somebody on your team to guide you through these shifts can be so powerful in helping you unlock all the potential that you have waiting within you. That internal power sometimes doesn’t seem visible to you because maybe you haven’t allowed it to be cracked open yet.
In this blog I really want to emphasize how real it is that sometimes we find our strength in what can feel incredibly hard but if we stop long enough to listen to ourselves, we will ultimately continue our journey with a bit of clarity and perhaps even a stronger sense of self trust.
3 THINGS A MINDSET COACH CAN HELP YOU WITH IF YOU’RE A HIGH PERFORMER:
1. You have so much to leverage in your thoughts, maybe you just didn’t know it.
You need to be able to “do” in order to perform. Action is key to outcomes. The thing that can essentially elevate the outcome is WHAT and HOW you think about the things you DO. If you put every possible effort into your preparation and performance, but you walk out onto the playing field/ court/ pitch etc and you just don’t believe you have it in you, it’s unlikely that you will experience your power in performing. The narrative internally is what’s guiding this process, but the narrative backed by a belief system is unstoppable, good or bad. It’s one thing to change a thought, it’s another thing to actually believe in the new thought. A mindset coach will help you uncover the unhelpful thoughts and systematically and thoroughly aid you in changing them and the build beliefs around them for the better.
2. Unlock the present moment.
It’s all about default settings here. When you’re in the middle of your moment/competition/ race etc, you literally don’t have time to strategize your way out of the challenges that you may face. But knowing that you might face challenges ahead of the time and knowing that you can absolutely build a network of internal default settings (thoughts) to fall back on in times of need can seriously turn critical moments into winning moments. You know you need a mindset coach to help you strategize when the same thoughts you have going for you just aren’t cutting it.
3. CREATE your reality.
When you work with a mindset coach what you’re telling yourself subconsciously is that you’re ALL IN on your dreams. WHY? Well working with somebody who can help you tailor your thoughts and internal belief systems for your success is about being INTENTIONAL about what your thoughts mean and the power they have to create the career and life you deserve.
Personally, I believe that our CREATOR power is the strongest of them all. When you’re in create mode, all your curiosity, openness and focus is switched on. You’re in a zone that sets you alive and sets all the good things in motion. And what’s so great about it is that you’re CREATING something that stands as evidence of all this good flowing energy. That’s something to return to and something to keep you going. A mindset coach can help you turn the volume up on this and the volume down on self doubt and limitation, especially in your key moments.
The choice is always yours.
